Having grown up in New England where a spouse is chosen today in the same fashion your grandfather did it by finding a women with broad shoulders who can till your land while your out posting something to the country tax collector named Jebodiah. I was stirred by a Japanese women once and again here - "Over the last year, young Japanese women have taken a tremendous interest in agriculture."
