In Memoriam

In honor of Hollywood's latest lost star, gone before her time, the Blumpkin Reading Material would like to present you with the Top 3 Moments from Brittany Murphy's storied career.

Honorable Mention- Tai Fraser in Clueless

The chubby, lovable best friend. Who could've known the path that lay ahead for this young, soon to be, starlet.
Tai: Why should I listen to you, anyway? You're a virgin who can't drive!

#3 Alex in 8 Mile

The resurgence. Hardly recognizable with her blonde locks and newfound hotness, she shone as Eminem's slutty girlfriend.
Alex: (after banging) You were so good outside!
B.Rabbit: In line? At the lunch truck?

#2 Luanne Platter in The King of the Hill

A lesser-known role for Ms. Murphy, she played the innocent and buxomly Luanne, niece of Hank Hill.
Luanne: It is very important to always know your name. Here's a little trick I use to remember mine: I think of a man named Lu, and a woman named Anne. They meet in a kingdom in a forest ...okay, maybe that's too complicated.

#1 Coming Soon to an Airplane near you!

Starring in such movies as Riding in Cars With Boys, Don't Say a Word, Uptown Girls, Little Black Book, Just Married, The Ramen Girl and Summer Catch. I have a feeling that we will be seeing Ms. Murphy for many years to come. An unfortunate ending for a promising star. Let us all share a moment of silence for Ashton Kutcher's practice girl.
"I've always seen myself as one of thos 'show people.' My earliest memories are wanting and needing to entertain people, like a gypsy traveler who goes from place to place, city to city, performing for audiences and reaching people."
